Very few advancement opportunities and limited faculty advancement

Implement a faculty advancement structure, increase pay to match surrounding colleges, invest in faculty

The students are wonderful. Most of them really want to be there, and are willing to work hard. The school is also really important to the community.

Employees never have the resources they need. Every department is painfully understaffed. There is a mass exodus of employees because of the toxic work environment. HR is a nightmare, and honestly I don’t know how they haven’t been sued for breaking employment laws. If you think you’ll have a working computer, guess again. IT is too busy spying on employees like a totalitarian regime to actually fix people’s computer problems.

I really loved my job, and I was very good at it. But I couldn’t keep working there when the administration treated employees so poorly. Stop micromanaging, especially when you have no knowledge of the subject. Trust your experienced employees. Stop lowballing everyone on salary. Start filling open job positions so everyone isn’t burned out due to severe understaffing. Start really examining why good employees are leaving. Have an HR department that knows what it’s doing. Maybe things can change now that Dr. Williams is leaving. Dr. Williams didn’t seem to want employees’ first priority to be helping students. She wanted their priority to be putting on a show to impress her.
