What is the company culture at Verve, a Credit Union?

Pros

The Culture is AMAZING at Verve, everyone leads from their positions. Even if you don't have people report to you, everyone is a leader and is treated as such. They strive for a great work culture and it shows everyday. The gives us the proper tools to succeed so the everyone can shine from their positions and communicate properly. They really do promote from within, they know that our Verve team members have great potential and allow us to unlock it. It truly is a great place to work and all of your Verve team members become family.

Cons

If you are not Cultural driven, this is probably not a great fit for you. We Strive to have people start their careers here and give them the proper tools to succeed.

They strive for a great work culture and it shows everyday.

Advice to Management

Let's not forget our beginnings , how we got here and where we have been. many of our members have stuck with us thru think and thin and we need to continue to thank them; Don't stop the momentum and keep fighting the good fight. It has been fun to watch an awesome team that has been assembled and looking froward to where we are headed in the future we have no limits. :)

How is the work/life balance at Verve, a Credit Union?

Pros

Verve has such a strong culture and gives me an amazing opportunity to come in and do what I love to do every day. I also work with a team of amazing people that I consider to be second family and I know I can rely on them for anything. The benefits available to team members are fantastic and are always being reviewed to see if they can be improved. Work/life balance is fantastic and my leader is always giving me the flexibility to work where I need to and when I need to in order to serve my work family best.

Cons

It would be nice if we could see salary ranges for all the different positions so we can see where in the range we are performing and have something to aim for and have realistic expectations of salary and possible raises or caps in our current positions.

Advice to Management

Please try to get in touch with the branches on a more frequent basis...your presence away from corporate is always appreciated!

Work/life balance is fantastic and my leader is always giving me the flexibility to work where I need to and when I need to in order to serve my work family best.

Pros

Verve is an amazing company to work for, especially if you are looking for a company that values culture! Every employee leads from their position with energy and passion. Our team strongly believes culture is the driving force to a great work environment and develops strong servant leaders.

Cons

If you're not a fan of "culture" based companies, then maybe this credit union isn't for you. There is a ton of support at every level, but no one is going to hold your hand and force you to fall in line.

What are working conditions like at Verve, a Credit Union?

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Verve....we are invested in growing our team members to allow them to fully care for our members' needs. We offer opportunities for personal and professional growth and really care about our team members' engagement in what they are doing in their role and what we are doing for our members and communities. I have been with Verve for almost 12 years and have been able to create a career path that honors who I am and what I am passionate about. During these 12 years I have welcomed two children, and our youngest son has special needs. My team leaders have happily accommodated long periods of time out of the office to care for him, as well as surprise appointments where I text from the hospital and say we have to stay overnight. During these absences my entire team pitched in and covered for me so I could focus on our baby. I don't know that I could find this flexibility anywhere else that also comes with a team who supports me through these challenging times. It's really as great as it sounds...you should work here!

Cons

I can't think of any, but I didn't want to leave the space blank.

Advice to Management

Keep hiring awesome team members. Recognize how much you are doing to support the growth of your team members and pat yourselves on the back.
