Does Virtusa offer dental insurance?

Pros

Has facilities expected of a service company. Got work from home, earned and sick leaves. Got joining bonus for making it within 2 weeks.

Cons

Not many long term projects. So you have to be on your toes every 3 months to find allocation to a billable project. Without allocation variable payout would be impacted Poor insurance coverage, additional paid top up coverage becomes a necessity Per diem allowances for international business travels are pathetic and those also demand bills for 100% utilization otherwise only 70% Variable pay isn't standard, ignorant people are made to agree for 20% while some are 10%. Heard about removal of the variable component with new joiners though. HR department is just a facilitator for the management None of the support departments like IT, Facilities or finance are prompt and sincere. Individuals have to personally hang around them to get things sorted Delivery responsibility is solely on Architect for any project with minimal ownership on managers. Teams are created with incomplete skills or resources, for eg., with no leads and only junior or freshers who are expected to deliver like a pro with 10 yrs experience Pathetic handling of covid: Employees above T1 tier got forced pay cut of 10%. All employees variable cut for the following year. People on bench will go on furlough after a month, only with basic pay. After 2 months of furlough you are put on one month notice for exit with full salary. Unreasonable deadlines are set with clients and employees are stressed to work without leaves or weekends

Advice to Management

Please get more long term projects with realistic deadlines otherwise own the burden of allocation of resources to yourself not on the employees

Poor insurance coverage, additional paid top up coverage becomes a necessity
