Does Walmart pay for a gym membership?

Pros

Nice peaceful working environment. If someone wants to save gym membership and wants to earn money can joint fulfillment associate in Walmart

Cons

In Walmart sometimes it fills like the only team with a blue vest is working, and yellow vest associates are good for nothing

Does Walmart give time off to volunteer?

Pros

Protected paid time off 2-15 minute breaks and 1 hour break

Cons

Managers have favorites and will go above and beyond to keep them out of trouble. Does not communicate with all employees in the same manner unless favored.

Advice to Management

Just do better.

Does Walmart pay for professional licenses?

Pros

Lots of optional overtime and easy access to things Walmart sells with a 10% discount. Becoming an assistant manager or above offers good pay.

Cons

Pay is very low and the job that you do is paid more elsewhere. (Specifically if you have forklift and other heavy machinery licenses)

Advice to Management

Happy workers are usually willing to work harder. Dont break them down if you want them to hold you up.

Does Walmart give bereavement leave?

Pros

$14-$15/hr for department managers 1 hour (unpair) lunch breaks Potential quarterly bonus for “clean, fast, friendly” store score Occasional food provided in break room (for major holidays mostly)

Cons

No sick time yet you’re penalized for illness Claim to have no quota to meet for shoplifters, yet will give warnings for not enough apprehensions, regardless of doing well in every other area of the job No holiday pay 3 paid bereavement days max Too many managers teaching different methods of working Ignorant point system for attendance. Right now is 1 point for a call in, regardless of the reason, .5 point for 10+ minutes late, regardless of reason, 3 points for a no call absence. New hires get 4 points in 90 days before termination. After 90 days, 9 points within 6 months is termination, and soon they will be lowering that to 5 points. This coincides with no paid sick time for employees, so if you’re out for 3 days with the flu, that’s 3 points.

Advice to Management

Holiday pay/bonus. PAID SICK TIME FOR FULL TIME ASSOCIATES. At least 5 days of bereavement to cover a full work week. PRACTICE “One Best Way”, don’t just say that’s not how you run YOUR store.
