What is the feeling of job security at Washington State Health Care Authority?

Pros

Free Parking Close to I5 Job security

Cons

Most if IT came from dept of corrections, nepotism much? Hiring process can be a joke, eliminating more qualified candidates for people you know. Not only wastes candidates time, but those people who referred them to HCA in the first place. Former CIO more concerned with status and image, making claims and promises his teams couldn't accomplish. Of course he surrounded himself with enablers, ie. DOC'ers. Then he gets escorted out of the building... New CIO has no spine, don't know how long he'll last. Overall not much different than any other WA agency. If you like dysfunction and lack of leadership this is the place for you.

Advice to Management

Look at leadership and remove former CIO lackeys. The DOC infection needs to be excised, otherwise HCA will end up in the news like DOC did.
