What are perks and other benefits like at iHerb?

Pros

Good benefits and people

Cons

Horrible hours for months(6) told it would get better. As is all we received 24 to 28 hours a week. To me it seemed as if they forced people to quit instead of properly staffing warehouse. If i was still there hard time trusting them.

Advice to Management

Need to be more honest, if you open 2 new warehouse properly manage instead of playing with people's lives.

Does iHerb pay for a gym membership?

Pros

* free snacks * free gym * good salary

Cons

* CTO & Directors are trying to fool the CEO and President * Worst Engineering decisions and engineering leaders * CTO needs to do once a month Engineering huddle and hear out from other talented people and not blindly rely on his director allies * CTO and Directors skills highly poor *get a CTO from competitive e-commerce business to save your company * Engineering cannot fix basic problems iHerb has a good potential and business can increase 4 fold if they fix the middle management which is taking benefit of CEO & President. They need not rely blindly on the reasoning given by Engineering heads. If this company does not fix its Engineering it is going down the drain.. all family business which took years to build will be gone

Advice to Management

*force your CTO to fix the Engineering problems else you will be out of business

Does iHerb offer tuition reimbursement?

Pros

One of the best teams and companies I've worked at! In my tenure here, I've met fabulous mentors I genuinely feel like my managers and superiors care about their employee's growth and professional development through coaching, constant feedback, and education reimbursement program. There are plenty of new initiatives in the work to be excited about, especially in the next two years. Overall, team members are always available to collaborate with different departments on projects and initiatives without hesitation. And of course, our diversity: iHerb has almost an equal ratio of female/male and this is also shown in our leadership team. In addition, we have a multi-generational workforce and folks from all over the state and world with various backgrounds. Most importantly, iHerb cares about our wellbeing through 100%-paid on our monthly premiums for health insurance, health challenges, gym-access (when open), fitness classes, and healthy snacks. As we're moving towards a flexible workplace (remote but with plans on open offices and shared spaces), I have been able to work from home with a monthly allowance to cover my expenses and an additional annual reimbursement plan starting next year. Looking forward to iHerb's growth and my personal development there!

Cons

-Growing pains but not a deterrent -Can be clique-y depending on team/department -Depts have varying operations / culture which can create silos

Advice to Management

-Continue to communicate with all employees through all mediums - more is always better than less in this arena. -Although we are diverse, it does not equal inclusion! Diversity is the "what"; inclusion is the "how." -Focus on social responsibility as team members want to give back together and want to feel like iHerb cares about their impact on the community in a more inclusive way (through volunteering, donation-matching, etc.).
