What to do? Stay at my ID job working for an insurance carrier. Full remote, $150k base + 15-40% bonus, generally laid back. Or a small PI firm. $130k base, 33% of fee origination, discretionary annual bonus (no commission on non-originated cases) in-office 5 days, 1 hr commute each way.
Salaries In Sales
Territory Sales Manager
Territory sales representatives/managers working in the insurance industry on the carrier side- what is your salary range? I’ll start, I’m making $65k working for a FL based home insurance carrier. There are some add’l perks I receive such as car allowance but no added bonus/commission structure. I think my salary is low especially after researching Glassdoor. Wondering what others make in similar roles within the insurance carrier industry
Is your salary based on billable hours? Or actual revenue? I’m a 9th year at an insurance defense firm. I’m billing ~1850 hours a year, making $100k. Very high cost of living area in south Florida. My billing rate is $160 per hour. I asked my boss for a raise yesterday and he said I need to be billing 180 a month (2160 per year) to get a raise, but wouldn’t say how much of a raise I would get. He said my collectibles are low, apparently the insurance carrier cuts everything across the board.
