"Name a time that you did not handle a customer in the

  right way. What happened and how would you do things differently?"

I told them about a customer who was very very rude to me and told me I'm not the most knowledgeable person on this planet lol and she applied for a credit card and was rejected immediately. The customer thought I did that personally to her and I said "I apologize. Is there anything else I can do for you?" I told them I probably was a little too short because I was tired and dealing with the stresses of life and that wasn't me. I could have handled that a little bit better and could have elaborated more on being apologetic and that I would definitely change that if I could go back. They loved my answer.
