I applied online, then an internal recruiter emailed me to schedule a discussion time.
The recruiter and I spent 45 minutes on the phone, and she asked some pretty standard behavioral questions, and she also explained what the interview process would look like in a lot of detail.
The next day I met with the hiring manager and we talked for 45 minutes about my background as well as some behavioral questions. A few hours later the recruiter told me I would proceed to the next round and sent me information for a take-home assignment.
I did the take-home assignment, then had a tech interview and a separate behavioral interview, both 1 hour in length. Both interviewers were very welcoming and encouraging, but also extremely thorough.
The team ended up going with a different candidate who had an edge on me, and the recruiter gave me detailed feedback on why the other candidate was chosen. I am disappointed as the feedback was largely on questions from my initial meeting with the hiring manager and not the later interviews, but I appreciate the feedback all the same.
