      Outside Sales Representative Interview

      Apr 13, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ADP (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2020

      Interview

Applied, recruiter reached out (she was great) - brief phone interview. Interview with the main manager, then a whole day of shadowing and an interview 3 Team Leads/Managers. I was really excited about the possibility of working for ADP - love the services they offer and idea of working with multiple types of businesses. Process was fairly simple, to my knowledge I did everything well. Could've answered my motivation question more succinctly, but that's the only thing I can think that might have been off-putting. The main issue was the last interview with the 3 managers. I'd already acknowledge the lack of diversity in the office, so I should have prepared myself in that way.. but maybe that was wishful thinking on my end. After the entire day of shadowing (which if you have a current job, you'll just have to take a day off...sucks) you meet three team leads for an interview. Again - not an ounce of diversity. One of the leads didn't even speak to me during the interview or ask questions, saying she's "finding it hard to articulate". They asked pretty standard interview questions, allowed me to ask a few questions and I left feeling awesome about the interview an excited that I'd probably get to work for such a great company. Recruiter emailed a couple days later with no feedback but just a general no offer from company. After all the time invested in this interview process (about 10 hours over multiple days) - super disappointing. Wish they would implement a leadership team that is more representative of society and approach these interviews with more empathy and open mind.

      Outside Sales Representative Interview

      Aug 22, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Kendall, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Kendall, FL) in Jul 2024

      Interview

intense and brutal for no reason. The first round of interviews is a 30 minute conversation with the recruiter. The second round interview will be with the vice president and some of the sales manager. They were 45 minutes late to my interview, only for me to find out that I was never on their schedule. So the people that I prepared to interview with from the email were not the ones who interviewed me. Extremely unprofessional and unprepared third rounds of interview, you will be on the field with a sales consultant for the first four hours, uncompensated. You will visit some of their accounts with them and then come back to the headquarters to do an hour and a half interview with the vice president and some of the sales managers. Then they will conduct a role-play with you. Don’t sweat it, they understand that this is an entry-level job and you have no prior experience. my best tip is to be prepared to have pushback. The point is not to close the deal but to ask the right questions. Strongly advise to be prepared and do not read off of a paper, only bring your questions. after my interview, they told me that they would get back to me by The next day with their decision. It took them two weeks to email me their decision after a week of chasing them down for an answer. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed by this company. The other reviews on glassdoor really matched up to the vibe of the office.

I interviewed at ADP (Baltimore, MD)

      Interview

Terrible communication. I was asked when I was available for a final interview and they never scheduled it when I was available. Why ask?. They provided times that I could come in but it would be days before letting me know (ex: telling me on a Mon that I am set for Wed at a specific time )
