      Manager Interview

      Aug 25, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ASPCA (New York, NY)

      Interview

I applied online using the standard form but had a very impassioned cover letter, which I believe is why I received a call to interview despite experience that didn't exactly line up. The first interview, with my direct superior to-be went extremely well, and I was excited for the potential to improve and grow the campaign. My call back interview was with her superior, who seemed to have no intention of improving anything about the campaign, and flat out said that they would just be pushing the exact same ideas/agenda they had been, rather than looking for new angles. From my experience, I'd say that those highest in the company seem resistant or slow to change and would not be receptive to new ideas.

      Application

The process took 5 months. I interviewed at ASPCA (Houston, TX) in Feb 2023

      Interview

Multiple tiered 4 interview process. Several months or weeks in between communications. Lengthy and drawn-out timeframe. Quality of the actual interviews was positive. Most questions were behavioral and specific to the role instead of generic.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How have you managed communicating a policy or change to staff that you may not fully agree with yourself?

      Manager Interview

      Feb 5, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ASPCA

      Interview

Was very excited as the HR representative I spoke to during my phone interview seemed enthusiastic about my application. Unfortunately, when it came time to interview with the potential boss for the position, I could tell she was not interested in me at all and wrote me off pretty quickly. It was as if there was no communication between her and HR at all before my interview (had to repeat everything I told the rep in my phone interview) and that she had no idea why I was even being considered. It was pretty discouraging and has made me hesitate to apply to any other positions with ASPCA.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

(During phone interview) Which ASPCA CORE value do you think is most important to the position
