Sales Associate (Model) Interview

Anonymous Employee in San Diego, CA
Accepted Offer
Positive Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (San Diego, CA).

Interview

It was very casual group interview. They ask everyone to answer each question, so make sure you stand out! I would also suggest wearing clothes that are A&F type of style, but nothing too provocative. Make sure you are outgoing and smiley, they like that. Show up on time or else they will leave you behind and you will need to reschedule. They will give you a call back in about a week.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (State College, PA).

    Interview

This is a group interview, you need to try and stand out. They are looking for people who fit in, or are social. They don't have any second rounds. I once did an interview for Hollister and there were 10 people. This particular interview I had one other person interviewing with me, and I think since it's a college town there may not be many other applicants. If you do recognize any one who may have referred to, don't hesitate to say hi. This interview was done in 2011.

It was pretty thorough and quick, applied online and got scheduled for an interview a week after. It was a group interview, we had gone towards the back to fill out a online screening which took 5 mins or less. Then we were called into the other room for a 20 minute interview session

    Interview

Met in group interview of two. Checked in with the manager and was held casually outside of the store. The experience was mainly conversational and the questions asked were generally behavioral and personal questions. The questions switched between the members of the group interview. None of the questions asked were particularly technical.

THE FIRST INTERVIEW.... was a group interview and then asked individual your view on the interview questions and then ask to summarize DIVERSITY and then wait two weeks to hear back the yes or no of getting the job. And then were broken up to talk to each other or go home and wait for the call back or not to go to orientation. I didn't wait long so just don't worry if they want you they will call.

    Interview

Group interview in a crowded mall area. Everyone got asked the same questions. In truth, I'm pretty sure the point of the interview was to make sure we weren't crazy, and to make sure we were up to the physical requirements of the job (ie relatively good-looking). They didn't ask very difficult questions at all, and we just went in a circle and had everyone answer the same questions.

    Interview

We sat in a group out in the mall on some benches. They had a set of questions that they were asking us, mostly about diversity in the work place and questions about our character. The interview was easy. They asked how you would greet someone walking into the store which was odd but I later found that it was 50% of my job.
