I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Reston, VA) in April 2010.

    Interview

Pretty quick. Had a phone interview, then in person interviews a few weeks later, and an offer about 2+ weeks later.

    Negotiation

I did not negotiate. The salary offer was very generous.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Reston, VA) in March 2010.

    Interview

The interview consists of 3 parts:

Pre-screening in-person interview at my school

On site interview: a few more candidacy questions, but a friendly environment

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Reston, VA) in March 2010.

Very fair and balanced. The process is mostly behavioral and career goal questions trying to determine if you are a balanced candidate without a ton of depth in experience, but an ability to work hard and stay motivated.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

No negotiation. Large company with a fairly straight-forward offer and negotiation process.

    Technology Consulting Analyst Interview

    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Reston, VA) in February 2010.

    Interview

After two phone interviews, I had an interview in person at the Reston, Virgina office. The interview was with two different managers in consulting. The questions asked were the typical behavioral/situational questions. One was to explain a time when I worked in a group and took the leadership role. Another was to describe a time when I had to take multiple roles in a working situation. They also asked me where I want to go with the company. If you're interviewing for the Technical Consulting Analyst position, what they want to hear is that you want to move on to consultant, and then in to management.

    Interview Questions

    • Describe a time when you had to take multiple roles in a working environment.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

I don't want to be isolated to working in consulting.

    Systems Integration Analyst Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Accenture (Reston, VA) in February 2010.

    Interview

After applying online through my campus recruiting, I got my first interview. It started as a meet and greet in a waiting room with 4 DC analysts. They were all friendly, although I felt awkward trying to make conversation, while still trying to prep for my interview. Then my interview began in a separate room, with a Senior Executive from the DC office. He was intimidating at first, but became more friendly by the end, as I asked him more questions about himself. This was a basic resume interview. That night I got an email saying I was invited back for a second round the following day. This interview started the same way with the waiting room. This interviewer was much more casual (a consultant) and less intimidating. He gave me a behavioral interview, which went pretty much as expected. I received a call with my offer a month or so later.

    Interview Questions

    • Talk about a hard time for you personally. How did it affect your work life, and how did you cope with the problem? What was the outcome?   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I didn't attempt to negotiate. They gave me 2 weeks to accept.

Questions were very easy. The last interview was a one on one with the manager. He asked some technical questions and other behavioral ones. I will find out if I get an offer soon.
