Sent in my resume online, was asked to do a video submission. Did a video submission, was asked to do a skype interview. Did a skype interview, was asked to do an in-person interview in New York. The in-person interview was strange. Friendly greeting from the girl at the front desk, but that was where the pleasantries ended. Word to the wise: make sure you write down the names of the experts you source during the case study, because they close all the browser tabs before asking you questions. Also—Experts are paid $100-300 for their time except for doctors and lawyers who can be paid up to $700-800 (I didn’t know this). The interviewer definitely frowned on my choice to do academic enrichment/study abroad rather than a bunch of internships (I had done two, but apparently not recently enough). He asked me “Have you considered taking the LSAT?” in a way that suggested, “You belong in grad school, not here”. It felt weird and inappropriate. He also sniffed at my public university, and made sure to let me know he went to Cornell. I didn’t get the final offer, but no love was lost.

I went through 2 rounds of interviews before deciding myself not to move on after the second. The first one was a standard behavioral one, recorded before a screen (might've changed due to the pandemic). The second one consisted of two parts: the first a role play, where I was assigned a case and asked to look for industry experts to answer a question for a made-up client, the second a standard behavioral interview.
