Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Amazon Lab126 (Sunnyvale, CA) in May 2018.

Interview

I applied through employee referral (High probability of getting call from the HR if referred) . Got a call from the HR, had a one-on-one with hiring manager. Was invited on-site for a series of 30 minute meeting with the team members, functional peers and bar-raiser. Was also requested to do the writing exercise as part of the interview process.

Interview Questions

  • 90 % of the On-site interview questions were focused on Amazon Leadership principles. They expect you to organize your responses in STAR format. I did spend a good portion of time preparing for the behavioral interview so it was not difficult for me.

On the technical side, there were questions on - TCO's (Total cost of ownership), How can suppliers manipulate information on TCO, What factors should be considered while selecting suppliers?, Should-costing model, Manufacturing processes and the costs associated with them, Supplier risk etc.   Answer Question
