I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arity (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2019
Interview
There were a couple phone rounds with a recruiter then the hiring manager. After that there was an in person with several rounds of one to one meetings with different functional areas. This was followed by follow up phone calls with the recruiter.

Interview
Fairly straight forward. The only problem was their HR is through Allstate so you interact with both Allstate and Arity employees. All of the actual interviews were with Arity employees.

Why do you think you are a good fit for this role?
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arity (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Recruiter was incredibly helpful and communicative, but that’s where the positives ended. The hiring team is exhibited a clear lack of technical understanding (not good considering their aim was building data products) and no defined vision for how they would scale the initiatives they spoke so highly - yet vaguely - of. Went through 3 rounds of this to ultimately be declined without any explanation. The recruiter told me later that they had selected an internal candidate they “had worked with before” (nice phrasing for favoritism), and any follow ups I attempted with the hiring manager were met with silence.

Question 1
Basic stuff like familiarity with different unstructured and structured data types, different product development styles.
