    Interview

Telephone interview + face to face It's not always quick and easy to get hired. The job interview process can be lengthy. Being interviewed once and getting a job offer is typically a thing of the past. Today, many companies have an involved interview process starting with screening interviews, which often take place on the phone, followed by in-person interviews, second interviews, and even third interviews.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Arm (San Jose, CA) in May 2016.

    Interview

Typical hi-tech, all day on site meeting with variety of functions. All interviewers were well prepared with my resume, and had specific questions. Have done many other interviews in high-tech at this level (senior individual contributor) and this was well run and organized. Made to the finalist selection and although I was not the final candidate (taken to to CEO) felt it was a great learning experience.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Arm (San Jose, CA) in May 2016.

    Interview

I was referred in by a friend who provided my resume directly to the Hiring Manager. I went through 2 rounds of phone screen interviews before being invited in for a face to face interview. The onsite interview was well run and very organized, the hiring manager had given a role to each interviewer with specific questions and areas of expertise to probe in while also giving me the opportunity to learn of the position and the company. It was a good two way interview process, exhausting but productive and thorough. The company was quick to make a decision once the team got a chance to get together and provide their recommendations. The quality of the people I met, their attention to details and organization was instrumental in my choosing to come work for ARM eventually.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (San Jose, CA) in September 2015.

    Interview

Initial interview was a phone call where I was asked to present my skills, my experience, and the reason why I would be best for the position. It was mostly me speaking and the interviewer writing down notes. A few clarification questions were asked, but otherwise the interviewer was fairly quiet.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Arm (San Jose, CA) in November 2010.

    Interview

I received a phone call from the hiring manager and had a short discussion to come in for an on-site interview in the ARM Physical IP Division. I first met with HR, followed by 8 engineers. All interviewers were pleasant to speak with; most asked a combination of behavioral and technical questions.

I came away with a good impression of ARM. I did not receive an offer, as they were looking for someone with more experience.
