Asana first appeared to me as the dreamed company (great product, one of the fastest growing cloud company, great company culture, high employees consideration etc.). Surprisingly, I have experienced the most chaotic and painful recruitment process ever. In one month, I have completed all the seven interviews composed of the following: 1# 1 Phone call with HR 2# 4 Google Hangouts with the US (same day, duration of 3h) 3# 1 on-site interview with the hiring manager 4# 1 Google Hangout with WW Head Of Sales This part was quick enough and quality of the interviews was good. The team members seem to be very humble, nice to work with and professional. HR department then called some of my previous managers to complete a background check. Since this moment, I had to wait another month to get a negative answer (with no feedback except they found a better candidate). After the seven initial interviews, I was so glad to have met the team and I was so excited by this opportunity, especially with all the so positive feedbacks they gave me. "You are the first going so far in the process, you tick a lot of boxes.. We are interviewing two or three other candidates.. just to be fair ... ;)", "I'm sure you will be excellent in that role.". I appreciate that we tend to be always positive in the american culture, but making me hoping for the best at this level to finally let me down was really painful. I would also like to highlight that during the whole process, the interviewers and HR have forgotten / rescheduled planned calls (interviews or follow-ups) something around ten times. You need to imagine yourself booking a meeting room, stay home with your phone in hands, go home in time to take the calls.. basically planning your life around Asana's schedule to finally be forgotten many times. I was unfortunately really surprised by the lack of professionalism in the follow-ups. I was promised an answer almost a month ago and it has been pushed week after week since then. I am a really patient and calm person but that lack of consideration when it comes to follow-up and scheduled calls was unbelievable. I know they are still small and building but it does not excuse everything. I am sorry I have to write this negative review, but this is what I have been through. Sincerely
