Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Auto Club of Southern California (Costa Mesa, CA).

Interview

Applied online, received a call from recruiter about a week or two later. Pre screening interview with recruiter was basic, asking about previous jobs, how and why you left, ( tell them you worked in customer service and that you love helping people and you're in), simply getting a feel for you.

Next you're maybe invited back for an interview at their branch during your initial call with the recruiter. A couple of days later, if you are attending one of their job fair events you may be sitting with 10-12 other people. You're given a run down of the company and moved on to the first round which consists of over the phone scenarios (see below), next round with a supervisor and then with a hiring manager.

Never made it past scenario, if you're shy or kind of a quiet person like me forget about it. AAA wants very enthusiastic, clear speakers, and who are not shy or have a shaky voice.

Interview Questions

  • Scenario: Manager acts as a 20 year customer paying with discover card which the call agent (you) can not accept...she has other forms of payment...now role play.
2: husband passed away, calling to take him off account, how do you handle this...again you must role play...   1 Answer

    Interview

Hiring process was a joke, first do a phone interview, its just to pretty much hear your voice, then if you have a good phone voice onto the next step to a face to face interview aka job fair. You check in with the security guard, then your walked into a room with several other. Once your in the room they send in a man to talk about all the pros about the company, then after that goes into a role play, asked 3 questions they wanna hear you show passion and that your acknowledge good news, good grades etc. After that if passed moved onto the next step, asked about 6 questions about your previous jobs, and etc. if passed that then onto meeting the hiring manager, ask about 6 more questions.
