    Interview

I had a technical phone interview with two of the IT staff members. They asked me some basic questions about my past work experience and my methodology when programming. The bulk of the interview was spent writing some code. We wrapped up with some time for me to ask them questions.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aver (Cambridge, MA) in March 2016.

    Interview

I sent my resume to the recruiter. She then contacted me to set up a phone interview. This first interview was focused mostly on my skills and background. She then asked for a follow up interview, also on the phone with her. That second interview was focused mostly on my expectations for the internship and what I wanted to get out of it. The recruited was very nice, and it was overall a very smooth and enjoyable process.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aver.

    Interview

I initially made contact through Aver's investor's talent contact. I met with him over the phone after a brief intro over the phone. He forwarded me along to Aver talent. Their phone screening was very casual and positive. After that, I came in to meet with our head of HR, another PM, and the CEO. It should be noted that now we have enough people that those are now usually two separate interviews, potentially followed by a third with a wider audience. A final in-person meeting followed with my future direct report and confirmation that an offer was on the way!
