Applied online 3 days after advert went live Waited approx 3 weeks for the closing date Waited 1 week for a telephone call confirming progression to telephone interview Waited 3 weeks for initial telephone interview Waited 3 weeks for feedback and invitation to assessment centre Waited approx 4 weeks for the assessment centre Group exercise (with people of a similar level of experience) - but interestingly some people who already worked for BAES (presumably for internal progression/benchmarking) 2 on 1 compentency interview 1 on 1 CV exploration interview Waited approx 3 weeks for feedback Offered interview with hiring manager Waited approx 3 weeks Met informally with hiring manager - very easy meeting Waited approx 2 weeks Received phone confirmation of offer Waited 2 weeks - chased HR for formal documentation Waited 1 week - letter arrived - salary was unacceptable Contacted HR and negotiated Waited 3 weeks (zero contact), new offer arrived in post Salary unacceptable (in fact, exactly the same as the first one) Called HR to discuss. Waited 1 week - letter arrived. Terms acceptable - returned acceptance. Waited approx 2 weeks, received start date. ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING AND INCREDIBLY SLOW PROCESS!!! Took roughly 7-8 months
