    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at BAE Systems USA (Bethesda, MD) in May 2017.

    Interview

I applied for the Technical Intern 3 position in February and was contacted in April to set up a phone interview for the next day. The person contacted me exactly when I was told they would call and we had a very pleasant conversation. The interview was not very technical in nature - we mostly discussed the details of the internship, my classwork experience, and our views related to Cybersecurity and its importance in this day and age. Two and a half weeks later I was contacted and told I got the job. Upon looking at my offer letter I discovered that I was actually hired as a Technical Intern 4, which is perfectly fine with me.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BAE Systems USA (San Diego, CA) in April 2017.

    Interview

Applied online, about two weeks later I received an email for an in person interview. I scheduled the interview based off of 4 dates they offered. Talent acquisition was very responsive with emails and questions I had.

The interview process was estimated to last 3.5 hours. They give a presentation on the BAE company and what they offer and then they put you through three interviews lasting about 45 minutes each. Three different engineers from different projects so they have different things to discuss and try to get a feel for what experiences you've had (school or work) that could relate to what they're doing. All of them seemed very knowledgable and down to earth. The experience was nerve wrecking but also ended up being pretty fun.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BAE Systems USA (San Diego, CA) in April 2017.

    Interview

Applied online then heard back a few months later for an interview. Set up an interview date and time and showed up to the office. First, all candidates started out with a brief presentation about the company. Then we split up and had 1 on 1 interviews with 3 different people. Lasted about 45 minutes each. Seemed not totally planned out because each interviewer asked me questions about my resume with a lot of overlap. There were some in depth questions about projects and specific knowledge of my skills listed. Nothing too technical though. Ended with other employees taking all the candidates out to lunch at the cafeteria inside the office, where we could just chat and ask questions and they bought us lunch.
