I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at BASF Corporation (Wyandotte, MI) in April 2015.

    Interview

It was a fairly simple process, but it took a while to hear back that I was selected for an interview. I was led to a room with three interviewers who frequently asked me questions about my application essay. They asked about my interests in the science field itself and what I saw myself doing for the company. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend interviewing if you get the chance to. It really is a great global company.

    Lab Tech I Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Wyandotte, MI

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at BASF Corporation (Wyandotte, MI).

    Interview

I applied online. It took about 2-3 weeks to get a phone call. I had to go and take an aptitude test that was online. They were mainly personality questions and questions where you had to figure out the best answer such as, will a potato sink of float in water. After about a day or so I got another call that I had done well and was asked to come in for a 3 hour interview. The interview was block style there were six different people I met with each for 30 minutes. About a week later I was asked to come back in and interview with the lab manager. Two days later I was offered the position. All of the interviewers ask situational questions and loved specific example responses.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I did not negotiate. It was a pretty fair offer.
