    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group (North York, ON (Canada)) in February 2017.

    Interview

Only one round interview, focus on working experience. Questions very detail. But as for technical questions, very basic, focus on database and java skills. No algorithm questions being asked. There are two interviewers, one is the direct manager, the other one is team member or from other team to provide suggestions for the manager.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in November 2017.

    Interview

I applied on Monster website and got a call the following day to come in for technical interview (means they will be testing your coding skills). I got interview by 2 other developers and they asked combination of mathematical questions and programming questions. Math questions were a bit off cause they were theoretical in nature because their answer cant even fit in a calculator (ofc calculator not allowed on interview). For example, what is product of 100! (factorial). Programming questions were easy enough, brushed up on polymorphism, abstraction, data structure and recursion.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group.

    Interview

Phone screen involved being asked trivia questions about languages and some really useless puzzle question that told me more about them than they would learn about me. Phone interviewer was quite rude and didn't really know how to talk to communicate without patronizing people. On top of that the interviewer didn't really know what he was talking about and would interrupt me to try and correct something I said when there was nothing to correct.

1-1 interview involved waiting 20 minutes for the interviewer to show up, and then also sitting infront of them while they took a phone call for another 20 minutes. Overall I spent 70 minutes of my time at this stage just to speak to them for 30.

Don't waste your time with this company, they have no idea what they're doing.
