Business Analyst Interview

Average Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Charleston, SC) in October 2013.

Interview

Basically general questions about my resume. Based on my preparation, I knew that the interview would be laid back. No real surprises to be found, which was nice. I was impressed with the people I met there as well as their professionalism and general friendliness. The process was straightforward and clearly communicated.

Reasons for Declining

The salary was lower than I was led to believe.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Charleston, SC).

    Interview

Initial interview conducted over the phone... went well and was immediately scheduled for on site interview.

On site, office looks great, open and comfortable.... nice concept, casual...

    Interview Questions

    • Nothing really difficult if you have a lot of experience because you know pretty much the answers especially if you have gone through a lot of projects and industry did consulting work.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

Offered really low salary even if you are senior or has more than 10 yrs experience... recruiting company who presented didn't even help... they want you to accept low salary... Eventually I decided to lower the salary I was asking but they couldn't even give an answer... I waited for more than 2 weeks no answer. I decided then to pull out my application because I can't wait for forever

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Daniel Island, SC) in October 2011.

    Interview

Applied for phone interview and it consisted of laid back questions. Was asked to come in for one on one interview in which the employer asked more personal questions about my financial knowledge and ability to work in a team. The final interview was with the department manager and VP of the department. Both were friendly. Accepted offer but then declined after salary was too low and the office was very unprofessional.
