I interviewed at Bitly
4 rounds with a lot of questions and a test. The interviewer was very polite and understand everything. They got back to me very quickly and didn't waste a lot of time.
- 1. Why do you want to work here?

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bitly (Denver, CO) in Feb 2023
Applied online. Few days later, I received an email to set up the phone call. I provided my avaialbility and right after I replied the email. I received a message from the same person on LinkedIn encouraging me to apply for the open position as if that person didn't even seem to check my profile before sending the message. I replied to both email and LinkedIn. Never replied back to me. I even followed up with an email, but ghosted me instead. About a week later, the interviewer sent a same email to set up the interview. Sent my availability and the interviewer set up the date and time this time. However, the interviewer didn't call me and ghosted me again. No class, and unethical. Please be respectful to your potential employees.
- Let's set up the phone call. (And then send a message to apply for the open position on LinkedIn shortly after)

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bitly in Dec 2022
Bitly's interview process is one of the smoothest out there. It was very straightforward: - Applied online, - The next day, I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a phone screen, - After that, a virtual interview was scheduled with the hiring manager, - A few days later, I received a take home coding assignment. They mention that it takes ~3 to 4 hours to complete, but it takes a little longer, - Then, a panel interview with various members of the team was scheduled. I had 4 different rounds: one technical, one behavioral, one company fit and the last one with the hiring manager to chat some more about the company, the role, and to answer any questions I had. The whole process took ~3 weeks (including time off during the holidays). The interviews were well conducted and the questions asked were fair. Not too difficult, but not easy either. The team was very mindful of my time and were quick to answer any questions I had. Ultimately, I ended up declining their offer because I was able to find a job that I believe was a better fit for me, but they seem like a great company with great people.
