    Interview

I applied online, although I was initially rejected due to an error, they got back in contact. They arranged a phone interview. It lasted 45 minutes. He talked a bit about the company, then moved onto some technical questions. Before the interview they send you a range of topics that questions may be pulled from. I did not get any further in the process.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Bloomberg L.P. in May 2013.

    Interview

I applied through their website and I had a 30min phone interview.
The interviewer was really nice and helpful. I did horribly in the interview though.
I had listed C++ as one of my strengths on the basis that I can do number crunching with it.
They want CS people not scientists converted into naive programmers.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked me to estimate the algorithmic complexity of finding a value in a binary tree. This is an easy question, but only if you have ever encountered a binary tree. Doing it on the spot during the interview is probably not reccommendable.   Answer Question
