What is your elevator pitch for “Tell me something about yourself.” Especially interested in responses from junior level data scientists. There’s always so much you can talk about. How do you pick examples and make a good introduction?
How do I handle interviewing at a county health department in a new area? Worked for the same agency for 20 years at another location. My last boss & I couldn’t stand each other. How do I handle a question that might arise like “why not return to the old agency at which u worked?” Most of these agency directors in my state know each other well, & I am pretty confident that this director will reach out to my old manager for input on me. This new agency is not in my area & I would be relocating.
I ended an interview this morning because the design challenge was directly related to the business and it’s users. To all my design colleagues, I suggest you do the same! This is the second company that’s tried to get me to provide free work to them. No thanks!
