Strategic Communication Interview

Anonymous Employee
Accepted Offer

Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Interview

There were several rounds of interviews including a interview with a recruiter, followed by lightning-round interview where you meet with 3 people for 15 minutes at a time, these people are mostly volunteers who have been with the form for at least 6 months and work in the capability you're interested in. The next interview is more like a group interview that takes place rather informally following the lighting-interviews. This is a typical style for people being recruiter by the firm through colleges and universities.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton in December 2009.

    Interview

The HR staff was not exactly helpful in this process. The recruiters are consultants and do not seem to necessarily have your best interest at heart. They focus on the process itself as opposed to listening to the candidate. I was told a number of times that they had an interest but that they could not give me a job description or any relevant details.

    Interview Questions

    • What would you say your functional expertise is? This question was difficult because in communications you are often a generalist.   Answer Question
