Two cases, several minutes of brief fit questions before each case. Cases focused on discovering new insights rather than being overly quantitative. Both cases had brainstorming and calculations. Interviewers were very friendly and took a lot of notes.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (France) in Oct 2019

Interview

Just come up and ask you some basic questions such as career path, self-positioning, why consulting, why bcg, strength weakness, etc., to see if you have certain thoughts and ideas about these basic problems. Of course, an interviewer will suddenly ask you a strange question, which is difficult to prepare in advance. Then there will be a case analysis for about half an hour. You and the interviewer need a lot of communication and interaction to discuss how to solve this problem. Finally, you need to quickly make a summary and give certain suggestions based on your own analysis. It is said that the result is not very important, the focus is on the process. The few cases I have faced can be regarded as finding the crux of the problem and giving some suggestions. After finishing the case, the interviewer will leave time for you to ask questions.

Interview Questions
  • It is the case of the bank. What is the existing cost structure and the cost of the benchmark, which one is better?
