Advisory or Corporate Finance, is the wing under CIMB that gives financial advisory services regarding equity instruments and equity-linked instruments to their client. From issuance to strategies and advice on M&A, debt restructuring to initial public offerings, these are all done under Advisory. Am I interested? Well, maybe. But not to an extent of going crazy over it.

Corporate Banking
Now, corporate banking is the nice term of lending money to corporations. Through this channel, financial and lending services is provided to corporations to support their business growth. This service is provided through various channels, such as credit and trade facilities, internet banking to improve overall efficiency, cash management and treasury. Through their international banking facilities, financial leverage can also be obtained for international firms and corporations.

Equity Market and Derivatives
CIMB provides the linkages between investors and the issuing institutions such as fund managers, insurance companies, pension funds and even government institutions. CIMB has won many awards for its capital market excellence, notable Best Equity House in 2007 and 2008. This section of CIMB deals with the equity capital market, as well as issuance and trading of derivatives.

Investors Services
As the name goes, Investor Services focuses on providing the best for investors dealing with investments in the stock markets. These services can be accessed online, or their mobile portal or via SMS.

Group Treasury
Group Treasury focuses on the regional fixed income market, namely the bond market.

As the name goes, this division focuses on providing investment advices to interested parties. CIMB Research also shares with them their views and opinions regarding companies, markets and economic trends. Research is done on equities(fundamental analysis) economies(development and risks, etc.) as well as fixed income.

Transaction Services
Transaction services is divided into two, cash management and securities services. Cash management services help the clients to better manage their cash flow through AR / AP / Acc Management. Securities services on the other hand provides services in handling transactions, from start to finish.

Private Banking
Private banking services is specifically catered to CIMB's High Net-Worth clients, i.e. the rich clients. There are various services provided, from wealth enhancement to wealth protection and distribution. In Malaysia, financial planning and portfolio management is the key service providers of private banking.
