    Manager Interview

Anonymous Employee in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at CO-OP Financial Services (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) in June 2010.

    Interview

The interview process took a long time. There was a number of interviews and getting to know a slew of new people. I think it took more than 2 months from the first interview to receiving the offer. Lots of tests, repetition. Too long of a process, in my opinion.

    Interview Questions

    • I don't think any of the questions were that difficult. Just read up on the company and get ready to discuss it.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I was told that any negotiations would have to go through the CEO, and did I really want to go to the CEO?

    Interview

Quick and easy. Little to no thought went into the interview process, and the job description was not accurate. The IT team was not focused and lacked leadership from their VP.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CO-OP Financial Services.

    Interview

Initially contacted by HR Manager and had a lengthy, interesting one+ hour phone interview. Recruiter was very knowledgeable about the position and highly engaged. 2nd interview was with the hiring VP (first) and then with the hiring manager. Both individuals very knowledgeable about events and very specific in the type of person/experience they were looking for. 3rd interview was taking a timed writing test (development of a marketing plan) and interviewing with the Sr. VP.

    Interview Questions

    • The request to write a detailed marketing plan (in a timed situation - approximately 3 hours), which had to include specifics about the company and industry (some facts provided, some had to be based on pre-interview research) was the most unexpected request.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Negotiation phase was very quick and fair.
