I interviewed at Caliber Home Loans

Interview

An intro call to talk about basics, and then a zoom interview with the hiring manager. The full interview took about an hour. We discussed the recent history of the company, job duties, what it was like to work there, etc.

Interview Questions
  • It was a pretty free-flowing conversation. The first half was a long description about job duties, what it was like to work there, how things were set up, etc. It honestly sounds like a great place to work, with a flexible schedule, remote work, and a knowledgeable hiring manager. The problem was that I did not want to commit to working overtime on a consistent basis, and that was a deal-breaker for them. Still, a good experience.

Process was smooth - Hiring managers were very unprofessional. Very dramatic and only talked about theot career accomplishments. It was not a good experience overall. Seemed as if they had already selected a candidate prior to interview.

Interview Tips

Feel free to post any interview questions you might be asked and I’ll help you compose an effective response :)

Senior Resource Manager

Last Thursday and Friday I interviewed with 2 hiring managers for 2 different companies. Both of them said they’d like me to progress to the next interview and the recruiter would reach out. One company said they wanted a offer out this month so it would be a quick process. I sent thank you emails and references. I haven’t heard from either recruiter. I had the recruiter screening and hiring manager interview just days apart, I thought I’d hear back by now. Thoughts?!

Underwriter 1 commercial line posted salary $45k-75k, I am aiming for at least 65k. No degree or designations, currently p&c licensed with 4 years of insurance. Is my goal too high? How should I go about negotiating my salary?

Program Manager

Just heard that some companies are going to start paying people for their time if they are asking you to do a presentation or something! Does anyone think this will become a thing?
