Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in January 2016.

Interview

I was contacted by a Capital One recruiter to ask if I was interested in a position. I was and so they set up a phone screen where I talked with a few hiring managers. They were familiar with my resume so they spent little time asking me technical questions and instead focused on behavioral questions ("What was your biggest learning experience") to see how well I'd fin in the company and on their team. After that I was asked back for an in-person interview which also consisted of a series of behavioral-interviews. They were very interested in learning about my experiences, good and bad, and how I reacted to them, what I learned from them, etc. Not once was I asked "what command is used to do this or that?" which was very refreshing.
