Senior Brand Manager Interview

Difficult Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Capital One.

Interview

Wow - you've never seen anything like this. Pre-interview testing, on-site interview testing, FBI background investigation, and 4 different "behavioral interviews" in addition to a regular job-fit/hiring manager interview. I did my research in advance though and "studied" for my interview by reading about behavioral interviews online (I hadn't heard of them before), and outlining my experience in my resume to align with the most likely behavioral interview questions. That made a huge difference in my readiness for that exhausting part.

Interview Questions

  • "Name a challenging time in your career, how you overcame it, and what the end result was."   Answer Question

Negotiation

I had done my research and was able to negotiate a bit.
