1. Recruiting email from head of eng
2. Recruiter call to talk about openings/fit
3. Phone screen with technical problem
4. On-site with a system design question, a culture interview with the CEO and a behavioral interview with 2 non-eng employees
The first technical question what a somewhat pragmatic programming one which also touched on some harder data structures, but didn't require them. Not the sort of question that's just gonna stump you, but not trivial to get through during the call
The system design question was pretty standard about building an app and how you'd scale it out
The CEO interview was interesting and pretty positive. He doesn't necessarily follow some script of questions, very comfortable taking the conversation wherever it goes and trying to establish culture fit.
Ended up accepting a different offer but the team at Cardless seems great, everyone was a good communicator and it seems like a great team.
