    Kitchen Staff Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Vermillion, SD
    Accepted Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Casey's General Stores (Vermillion, SD) in May 2011.

    Interview

Applied when the store was completely understaffed. Received an invitation to interview with the store manager. Spent about 30 minutes during the interview process. Was very easy and actually kind of awkward as the manager seemed a bit aloof. Essentially it consisted of seeing if I was a complete weirdo or not (which doesn't really stop them from being hired, but ehhh..) and then me asking questions. Was offered the job about a day or two later.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Couldn't really negotiate for much since it was basically a McJob. Got a 50 cent raise after 3 months.

    Clerk Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Peculiar, MO

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Casey's General Stores (Peculiar, MO) in October 2014.

    Interview

I applied when I saw a sign in the window saying "Now Hiring". A couple weeks later I got a call for an interview. Interview had very basic questions on it (mandated by corporate). He skipped around and only asked questions he thought weren't common sense. Other managers occasionally walked in and asked questions and commented during the interview and made it a little uncomfortable. He contacted me within a few hours telling me I got the job.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

They have a set pay rate, no reason to try to negotiate on salary. Raise after 90 days though.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Casey's General Stores (Chamberlain, SD) in March 2011.

    Interview

Went in to the restaurant during a dull hour so they were not busy. Sat down with owner and restaurant manager. Very relax she was easy to talk to. I felt that it was a good place to work based on how friendly and outgoing the staff was. They were very helpful in directing me to the place of my interview.
