I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2012
Interview
You need to be persistent if you would like a position at Chipotle. They only hire "top performers". Don't be afraid to continue calling each day to check in on the status of your application. There are often hundreds of applications in our office, so make it known that you want the job. You will need to be interviewed roughly 2 or 3 times, so be patient.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
