    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Cisco Systems (Raleigh, NC) in March 2015.

    Interview

Everything on glassdoor has been spot on. HR interview is trivial and standard, with some basic problem solving situations (I didn't have networking experience so my situation was car trouble). Next is Cisco interview challenge which is basically unanswered questions from their customer support forums- a cheap way to outsource your tech support I suppose. Neither the manager or the two technical leads were interested in talking about the interview challenge, but the interviews themselves were quite nice. All persons were amicable and the technical round wasn't even too rough despite having only a basic understanding of important topics like the OSI model. Now just waiting for the yes or no.

    Interview

The interview process was one in person interview and about 4 phone interviews. The in person interview was with a hiring manager and an engineer. It was informal and laidback. They asked about background knowledge and some behavioral questions. Past this round one of the phone interviews was technical.

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took a week. I interviewed at Cisco Systems (Durham, NC) in February 2019.

    Interview

I was contacted by a member of management regarding a Customer Support Engineer position in the Durham/RTP location. He was pleasant to speak with and had a positive vibe about the individual, the position, and the company. We scheduled a call the following day, and he asked to meet 30 minutes ahead of schedule which worked out better for me. The entirety of the call the manager has a strong and positive attitude. Wished he would have my resume in front of him so he could have asked more relevant questions as opposed to just me volunteering details.
