    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at College of Saint Rose (Albany, NY) in October 2017.

    Interview

Applied around beginning of September 2017, was first contacted by St. Rose about a month later. St. Rose is in a very bad place financially, but I wanted to still try for the position. The communication from Human Resources was very delayed and unorganized (in my opinion). For example: I responded back to the interview invite and included my office phone number for the phone interview (as they requested). When the time for the interview came, they called my cell phone and we had a terrible connection. This small example of oversight is very troubling because it points to bigger issues. St. Rose rarely gives raises to day-to-day employees. They offered $38,000 for the Assistant Director of Financial Aid position, the industry pays closer to $44,000-50,000. They were non-negotiable about the salary because they wanted to keep all their staff payed proportionally to their job title. Basically, you start making less money and make less if you ever get a raise

    Interview

Applied online, heard back within 2 days. HR person was difficult to understand on the phone and aggressive. Showed up for interview, and rep wasn't there that day. Rescheduled for a week later. References were called (my references indicated that the person who contacted them was unpleasant to talk to), and I had an offer within 3 days of the interview.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at College of Saint Rose (Albany, NY) in November 2015.

    Interview

The interviewer was 20 minutes late. The person was shuffling through the paperwork. Questions were very run of the mill. Was instructed to keep responses 'short and sweet'. The interview lasted 20 minutes. Comments were made about the weather and the local eateries.
