The hiring process wasn't difficult. First interviewed over the phone and then asked to meet the ops manager in the office. Got a phone call just a couple hours after and was hired.

Interview
Met with the HR Director and was hired the next day. She was very pleasant and was honest about what the job consisted of and that my co-worker could be "somewhat" difficult to deal with.
