The interview process is extensive but very beneficial, and the recruiting team is extremely prompt, not to mention kind and helpful. The company is truly looking out for your best interest throughout the process. They also do cross-team interview where someone from another team interviews you. This is someone with no real interest in your hire as you won't be working with their team directly, so it gives the recruiting team a sense as to whether or not that individual likes you and thinks you'd fit the company. I really liked that aspect, because it's an opportunity to learn about someone with a different career background, as well as an opportunity to impress and discuss your ability to work well with the company as a whole.

How did you come to learn about Compass and why were you interested?

Interview
The interviews themselves were not difficult. They asked standard questions and I didn't feel like I was being interrogated or that there were any trick questions. Everyone I met and talked to was very friendly and kind.
However, the length of the interview process was extremely drawn out for what is an entry-level position. There was a recruiter phone call, then a virtual interview with 2 members of the marketing team, another virtual interview with the hiring manager, and then after waiting 2 weeks I was invited to meet someone higher up on the marketing team in person in the office... after that, I had to wait 2 more weeks to hear that they had chosen someone else for the position. I liked everyone I spoke with, but this long drawn-out process with lots of long waits for a low-level position left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel that my time was not respected. Even if I had received an offer, I wasn't sure if I was going to accept it because of this.

It was well communicated and a great experience for a first time interviewer at Compass. 3 interviews with some great people who are all so smart and nice nice nice.

the interview process consisted of a screening call, 2 video interviews with multiple different people on each team, and another phone call at the end. overall it went smooth other than one person not making the interview which set back everything a bit.
