    I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Control Components (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA).

    Interview

    1) Meeting with HR Personnel - He or she will give you a short introduction and then give you an exam.
    2) Technical Exam - This includes any relevant technical skills you might have picked up in college as well as a few critical thinking questions.
    3) Meeting with any Engineering Managers Present - Depending on schedules, engineering managers will take the time to ask you questions about your skills and experience on your resume. Note that the specific manager you work under may not necessarily be at this interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Technical:
      Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics (Some multiple choice questions and some free response)
      Puzzle/Critical Thinking:
      "How many doughnut shops exist in the United States?"

      Actual Interview:
      They will ask about your resume content including skills.

    1st Interview on the phone - Standard questions about job history
    2nd Interview in person with another person who asks much of the same questions.
    3rd Interview at California Factory with a panel of people from various departments that would interact with you on a daily basis.
