I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at D. E. Shaw India (New Delhi) in Sep 2020
Interview
Due to COVID-19, my interview was taken on an online platform. The interview process was smooth. After an aptitude and video interview round, they conducted a skill interview which was not so easy. They are a li’l ignorant of the fact that majority of the people who are not from the Commerce background know very little about Personal Finance or anything in that arena, for that matter. They did not shortlist anyone from our campus in the beginning but later gave a call to one out of the forty candidates who appeared for the skill interview.

After the aptitude round, they want to only check your confidence and current affairs knowledge. The process is hence divided into an associate interview round and then a panel interview, both having similar trajectory.

Interview mostly consisted of questions from your resume (in depth knowledge was tested). Also current affairs was asked, like something related to economics or finance. They were not direct ca qns, but you were expected to know what's happening around you.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at D. E. Shaw India (Bengaluru) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was a structured process and it was pretty difficult and tiring. Very long and also a lot of logical based questions and case studies too. So i would say it's a well rounded process.
