    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Deloitte in April 2007.

    Interview

Very long (took months) and intense. Inverviewed with 5 team members and two seniors. Unfortunately the person I was supposed to interview with wasn't sitting in the area the receptionist thought she was in.... So - i sat waiting for a half an hour, and she was waiting for me in a different area. I would recommend getting a cell phone number for the person you are going to interview with in case of logistical problems.

    Interview

Deloitte contacted me, and invited me to an interview for a non published position. The process it self was 2-3 weeks, with the contract negotiation as the tricky part. The IQ test was hard but same as other big 4 firms. The 2 interview was more a discussion about the position and the expectations.

I went through 4 rounds of interview, 3 Directors & the final was with a Partner. The Director interviews were good, more informal than formal (2 of the Directors had done substantial work with my previous employer) but the main Partner interview was not the same. I was asked a lot of strange questions, the interviewer was 20 minutes late & did not seem interested in me from the start.
