I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Dillard's (Houston, TX) in Nov 2011
Interview
The interview process was relatively easy. They asked about previous sales experience, although I don't believe much prior experience was required. I think your appearance is likely a bigger factor in the hiring process than anything else. You will likely get the hourly salary you request as long as it is reasonable- but unless you meet the sales quotas you won't get to keep that rate!
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dillard's (Memphis, TN) in Aug 2025
Interview
It was a two part interview that lasted a total of 1.5 hours. It was fairly easy to say the least. But I like talking a lot so it didnt seem very long. It may not be like this everywhere .
