Sales Manager Interview

Positive Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dillard's (Jackson, MS).

Interview

I went to get a position as a sales associate because my intention was to work temporarily there until I get a staff accountant job. The secretary directed me to a computer to complete an application. When done, I was told to wait for someone to interview me (another sales manager). I handed in my resume (they did not ask for one) to the secretary. After 10 minutes I was called into an office. The interview was simple. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then, I was offered a full-time position as a sales manager. The store manager was dynamic, articulate, positive, and outgoing. Therefore, I assumed that was the work culture across the board.

Interview Questions

Negotiation

Yes, your salary is negotiable. However, it depends how well they like you. Not on your credentials.
