    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EPAM (New York, NY) in December 2017.

    Interview

Initial phone screen with a recruiter who scheduled a Skype interview with the Hiring Manager. This process took almost three weeks. During the Skype interview, the manager appeared to be speaking with another individual who was feeding him questions to ask, and he was texting. I found it extremely unprofessional and off putting.

    Interview

3 interviews. Previously had networked with founders of company so likely had an easier time during interviews. Typical behavioral questions. Had to negotiate salary and likely left money on the table.

    Interview Questions

    • My role was client facing. As such the senior leadership attempted to make me uncomfortable by stating I was and asked why.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Expect to negotiate. However, the company is now a part of EPAM Systems which is a public company and so may have standard pay scales. They won't be able to negotiate bonus, but can base pay and perhaps other benefits like vacation.

    Senior Software Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate

    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EPAM.

    Interview

Interview process was alright. First a general 30 minute phone screen to discuss your background and your skills; after that if all is good they will schedule a 1 or 1.5 hour technical screen which can be done over webcam. So I got through the first two rounds, with positive feedback. But then after the HR recruiter tells me that the clients had suddenly changed the position and they were no longer recruiting for this particular role. With my hopes up for the role it didn't feel good. So that was that. A month later, I see a similar role being posted on job sites from EPAM in the same geographic location. Honestly, they shouldn't waste candidates time if they are eventually going to change the roles. Either they weren't being upfront about my interview results or they just need to get their act straight.

    Interview Questions

Last part of the technical interview was a easy-medium difficulty live coding challenge.   2 Answers
