    Human Resources Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Pune (India)

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at EY (Pune (India)) in June 2016.

    Interview

hr manager 10 yr of exp from Pune unit addressed me starting off extremely rude and thereafter reaching the heights of extreme arrogance. I never expected that a hr manager 10 yr exp personnel from a brand like EY could be so rude disgusting pathetic unprofessional during an interview so rude during interview process with so much aggression why I changed my previous jobs started criticizing my work, Commenting and Taunting previous companies, etc. so much unnecessary aggression shouting and screaming

interview lasted for around 30 mins thereafter she was being said sorry you aren't a good fit for the role, Upon asking the reason for rejection she stared at me in anger stating I looked her a job hopper as she analyzed my profile based on the number of years worked with previous organizations rather than my work experience, competency, skillset,Other reason given was racial diversity

Really bad HR who only knows how to searche a resume with ctrl F keywords looks at the number of yrs worked with an organization rather than his strong work experience and background

I simply walked out thanking her with a pleasant smile on face, disappointed & heart broken as I was so excited to get an interview with EY Pune. Today I'm jobless facing the same issue almost with every HR team who does the same. Will never ever refer anyone to EY India pune nor will ever be interested to work in my entire life for them after such a horrible experience. Better look for other good opportunities rather than joining their Pune unit

An interview that felt more like a discussion of interest rather having a robot counting points. Obviously the persons, three of them, who interviewed me were very profesional and could "read between the lines"

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EY in May 2008.

    Interview

I interviewed at the Secaucus, NJ location and it was great. I met with 3 different hiring managers and the interviews lasted a couple hours. The questions addressed specific behavior competencies and culture fit. The office environment is very open and the decor of the buidling is impressive. The bus runs on a regular basis to Port Authority, NYC. Before the in-person interviews had a very detailed phone screen that addressed what I wrote on my resume. The in-house recruiter was very open about the process and kept me updated throughout. Even though I was not offered the job, it was a great opportunity to interview and learn from the experience. I would apply again at any time to Ernst & Young. Hopefully this time I would be offered a job.
