    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Ecolab (Saint Paul, MN) in October 2015.

    Interview

Interviewed through a college career fair and was selected to go to Ecolab's career day in Saint Paul. This consisted of a tour of the R&D center as well as three half hour long interviews with finance managers. The managers were very rude and not helpful in providing information and details about the position. Very negative experience and not a company I would recommend working for at all. I was very excited about the opportunity until I attended the career day. Ecolab tries to convey a very positive image of their company.

On campus interviews followed by on site (St Paul) interviews. On campus it was just two 30 minute interviews back to back. On site it was breakfast followed by three 45 minute interviews in a row followed by lunch and then a 1.5 hr tour of their r&d center about 20 minutes outside of St Paul. I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Ecolab (Greensboro, NC) in October 2015.

    Interview

I first had an interview after the career fair at my university. Very typical behavioral based. I was then invited to attend a plant tour/interview day at one of their plants in North Carolina, all expenses paid for by Ecolab. The night before we had an informal dinner with current LDPs and a few presentations. The plant tour was interesting and was followed by 3 half hour interviews and lunch. Nothing too difficult.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ecolab (Minneapolis, MN) in September 2015.

    Interview

Took part in a brief telephone interview. Interviewer was very polite, personable and professional.
I was very upfront as to why I was looking for a new opportunity, as well as where I was with other potential opportunities. Interview ended with my commitment to keep Interviewer informed of any changes and received confirmation that Ecolab would do the same and was planning on in person interviews within two to three weeks. Followed up with email and left two voice mail messages, never heard back. It has been over 2-1/2 months, company has re-posted new identical job postings twice since phone interview. Very unprofessional employment recruiters!!
